UPDATE – Toughman Leaving Croton, Clearwater Next Possible Departure
Trustee Walsh announced the relocation of the Toughman event to Harriman State Park, no doubt pleasing the very vocal few who have complained about the event’s effect on traffic in the Village.
Also troubling was the news that the Clearwater Festival is also looking for new digs. Apparently the county is raising rates for use of the county-owned Croton Point Park. Perhaps our mayor can reach out to the County Executive’s office and plead the Village’s case? Mayor Schmidt did ask for the public’s help in contacting the county. Perhaps he can set the example and make that call.

Fron a friend at Clearwater:
“There will be no Revival this year, nor will there be a festival in Beacon on Father’s Day weekend. There was talk about a picnic on the River at Croton Point Park. That’s how it all started. There was a room full of passionate, concerned Clearwater members. Much was talked about, nothing was resolved. There will be another meeting either Feb 2 or Feb 9. Stay tuned for the next exciting adventure in the Perils of Clearwater.”
“Great” job, I love the incentive to sports and music in our community
